We live on a great little houseboat here in DC. That means our summers are a whole lot of fun. It also means we have very limited space and try to keep things pretty minimalist. One thing we believe very strongly in is helping make a great future for our friends and helping to make a better world to raise our family in. In tune with this, we're asking people to donate to a cause we believe in rather than send us a wedding present. Below are two causes we think are doing great work. If politics is just too political for you and international aid isn't your bag, we're also setting up a "Bonnie and Eric go to Mexico" fund and we love trying new kinds of wine.

Food prices are skyrocketing around the world, and the poorest countries are getting hit the hardest. Project Medishare is working to get food to people in Haiti who need it and train them to grow their own crops so they can become self sustainable in the future.
